Fire Damage Repair to Listed Dwelling

Market Lavington

2014-15

This Grade II Listed property was damaged in a fire, destroying the rear of the building including causing the collapse of various floors and roofs.

Architectural Designs were prepared, Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent Applications were submitted to repair the dwelling, as well as improve some areas.

Works provided additional rooflights and a flat lead roof replacing a poor quality felt roof, improving the appearance of the listed building.

The proposal reinstated the building, but also vastly improved what was there before, taking advantage of the disaster to improve the building as a whole.
