A chimney fire in this thatched dwelling partially destroyed the roof, works included the provision of new rafters, where damaged by the fire, and re-thatching of the roof.

Internal works to repair smoke and water damage (from the fire fighting efforts) included the provision of new plaster and decoration throughout the dwelling.

Within six month of the fire the house was reinstated back as before.
