Chirton

Following a catastrophic fire the original dwelling was demolished, due to it’s Listed status and location in the village it was important to present a sympathetic replacement, acknowledging the original design yet providing an opportunity to rationalise internal accommodation creating a contemporary home set to the rear of a new thatched ‘cottage’ frontage.

The use of oak, cedar, handmade brick and clay tiles, lime render and mortars and thatch present a traditional palette of materials which as time passes will mellow and age into an attractive characterful home.
