Agricultural Barn Conversion to Private Dwelling

This former agricultural barn was surplus to Clients needs and Dolman were instructed to work in conjunction with Client’s Planning Consultant to obtain Approval for a private dwelling on the site.

Dolman initially conducted a Building Survey to inspect and comment upon the structural integrity and suitability of the barn for conversion under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015, Schedule 2 Part 3, Class Q. The report was positive and used as supporting evidence for the Notification for Prior Application to the Local Authority.

A measured survey was carried out, existing and early concept proposals were prepared and developed alongside client to meet their brief; providing a generous two-bedroom property. Approval was given by the Local Authority, technical design carried out and Building Regulation approval was then obtained for Client to self manage their new home project.
