Works have commenced on this Listed Grade II* Hotel converting the Letting Bedrooms and Outbuildings into eight dwellings.

Dolman was instructed to discharge a number of Listed Building Consent Conditions, which included routes and details of all service connections and ventilation / extracts from the listed building; as well as joinery details of all new/altered windows and doors on the site, over 30 joinery details in total.

Following considerable liaison with the Conservation Officer these Conditions were discharged and Technical Drawings were completed for the eight dwellings. 

These dwellings consist of four townhouses, an apartment and three detached dwellings within the outbuildings.  All of these existing buildings had a variety of issues to overcome, from levelling the floor of a stable to providing fire resistant floors and walls between the new units.  These have been adapted in a conscientious way and where possible the buildings have been upgraded to modern standards of thermal insulation; detailed discussions with the Contractor, Conservation Officer and Building Control allow the building to meet all fire safety and other regulations whilst maintaining the character of the Listed Grade II* Heritage Asset.
