Security is a priority for schools, particularly front of house at a primary school. The school currently does not have a secure Lobby and visitors are held at the outer front doors in a porch area. The proposal entails the formation of a secure Lobby within the existing corridor area and relocating the Administrative Office to the space currently occupied by the Boys Toilets, allowing a security hatch to be formed between the Office and Entrance Lobby.

This has wider implications for toilet facilities within the school and following a review of numbers on roll, additional toilet outlets (WC cubilces) have been provided in another area. Toilets, as is the current trend, are arranged as individual cubicles each with a basin and in this case a hand dryer. Looking forward, consideration has also been given at this early stage as to how works could be phased and possibly carried out during term time.
