Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development – or old fashioned training.

Our Surveyors and Architects are obliged to carry out a certain number of hours per year of professional training, both formally and informally.  Such activities range from keeping abreast of professional news, topics, and materials, through to changes and updates in technical and professional guidance.

We attend residential and day events to suit our individual requirements and interests. During September four of us attended a day’s CPD where topics discussed were the Romance & Mystery of Buildings – subjects which extended our interest and knowledge beyond the Architectural and practical towards the historical and human interests in older buildings.

During October, a Rural Planning Conference will be attended where topics will range from Biodiversity, Nutrient Neutrality, electric vehicles and enforcement to name a few.

We find that over the near 50 years of Practice we’re never too old to learn something new.
