Completed Fire Damage Repairs

During lockdown one of our Client’s properties sadly caught fire, fortunately the occupants weren’t harmed.

Dolman were instructed to assess the damage, prepare technical drawings, seek Building Regulations for the repairs (Planning Permission wasn’t required), prepare Specification of Works to seek Tender prices and administer the project.

Due to the age and historic fabric of the building, traditional and natural materials were used including; chestnut lathes and lime plasters, lime mortars, distemper (breathable paints), oak flooring and thatch were all necessary to sympathetically repair and reinstate the building.  A quaint and characterful property has been brought back to life.
