Class Q Barn Conversion

Our Building Surveyors and Architects are currently working on several Class Q barn conversions; two at pre-planning stage, two under Planning consultation, one at technical design stage (having received Class Q approval) and one is undergoing the construction phase on site. We have also completed a number of conversions which are now occupied.

We’re regularly dealing with Clients / Land Agents who have barns which would be suitable for Class Q barn conversions, initially we carry out a fact finding exercise to establish if the barn and site is suitable (in Planning terms) for Class Q prior approval.  Thereafter we carry out measured surveys, designs and develop the prior approval Application for submission to the Council; followed by Technical Design, Specification, Tendering and Contract Administration to produce a dwelling from the agricultural barn.
