Alterations to Listed Grade II* Dwelling

Further to our article in November we are pleased to confirm that Listed Building Consent has been granted to carry out alterations to form a new Kitchen at this Listed Grade II* Dwelling.

A well crafted Application which considered the Pre-Application comments from the Conservation Officer and included a Structural Engineers Report together with a detailed Heritage Statement allowed the proposal to move through the application process without objection.

As part of the Consultation process English Heritage and Trust for Devizes, amongst others, were asked to comment and no concerns were raised with the proposal.  Furthermore the Conservation Officer (Wiltshire Council) commented positively and recommended the application for approval.

The next stage is to prepare technical drawings and apply for Building Regulation Approval.
