The new regulations were laid out before Parliament at the end of January and come into force 6th April 2015 replacing the 2007 regulations.

The most significant change is that the regulations will encompass all domestic projects which involve more than one contractor; for example a main contractor and a sub-contractor.  The change also sees the disappearance of the CDM co-ordinator and the emergence of a new duty holder, the Principal Designer.

There is a transitional period of six months between the new and old regulations during which Dolman will be acquiring new qualifications in order to fulfil the Principal Designer’s duties; as well as offering additional CDM related services.
