Extension
to listed house, nr Devizes (2008)
Originating from a modest traditional timber framed dwelling, the house has been considerably extended and altered over time (including a 1930’s flat roof addition). This latest extension was to provide the kind of combined kitchen and family living space that is now so sought after, together with a much improved utility area. Above, at first floor level, a new master bedroom and ensuite have been incorporated. The new structure is deliberately subservient to the existing building, the design giving a pleasing reduction in mass and scale.
