Extension to classrooms - Chilton Foliat CE Aided Primary School (2008)

Works to form extensions to a pair of adjoining classrooms, overlooking the school playground. Ground level differences necessitated a raised walkway along the frontage to the new structure, this being covered to form a loggia type space, which contributes to the character of the finished building. The extended roof also acts as a sunscreen in summer months, preventing excessive solar gain. The fabric of the new work is lightweight, comprising of timber framing throughout.
